Approximately 8-10 days.

Pupa Description

It presents flat head horns that are very slightly curved; color varies from green to brown.

Adults Description

Distinguished by the blue-gray upperside, the forewing has a jagged white medial band; hindwing underside has a red-ray pattern.

Habits Description

Occurs from sea level to 1,500 m, but most abundant on the Pacific slope of Costa Rica . Often associated with second-growth habitats, this species can become extremely abundant during the rainy season on the Pacific slope and in the Meseta Central. In the Atlantic lowland rain forests, it is found at low densities, and may be found in the rain forest canopy as rare individuals along with the similar Hamadryas arinome.
