Our staff includes a diverse group of Costa Ricans with education and training in many backgrounds – biology, tourism, entomology, psychology, natural resource management and more. A common denominator is a strong appreciation for the natural world and an enthusiasm to share what we know with the public. While butterflies may provide the backdrop for one’s visit, one of the real treasures is engaging with the farm’s staff.
Each guide and every tour is different. At The Butterfly Farm there is no script. In each tour we speak from the heart; try to convey our fascination for the mystery of life as it’s expressed through the butterfly; suggest the interconnectedness of all and share the transcendent beauty that always surrounds us.
