Approximately 8-10 days.

Pupa Description

Color varies from green to brown, from all the Hamadryas this one presents green spots in the abdomen area.

Adults Description

Sexes dimorphic. Distinguished by the jagged forewing white band, distinct in female, indistinct in male. Hindwing upperside has elongate marginal blue ocelli; hindwing underside black with red spots.

Habits Description

Occurs from sea level to 600 m in association with Atlantic lowland primary forest habitats, but in the canopy.
