Mural Title: Symbolism
This mural was inspired by the symbolism understood by the pre-Columbian cultures, where butterflies represented heat and light,. Butterflies were responsible for life. Sometimes they are represented together with the goddess of the Earth and at other times beside the god of rain who has a butterfly on his lips. It is he who inspired me to create this proposal, in which an indigenous or an ordinary man holds a butterfly to his lips, representing the generations of life and plants . The human being with its great power to conserve and interact with nature and who unfortunately day by day forgets their myths, their identity and their ancestors.
